If you happen to be browsing Time Magazine online and are a fan of Korean Pop music, then you'll find the article "Korean Pop, with Online Help, Goes Global," a good read.
It summarizes how online social networks have been vital to the success of bringing the current Hallyu music trend, K-Pop, to the world. As a fan of Hallyu and K-Pop, I can't agree more with the article in regards to the boost the Korean music industry has been receiving, now that artists are able to better connect with their international fans. Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and iTunes are some of the most popular ways for musicians to share themselves and their work. It's an exciting time for Korean/Asian artists because they now have a way to better tap into and access the U.S. market.
