Park Jin Young (박진영/JYP) Receives "Global Ambassador Award"


Park Jin Young (박진영), better known as JYP, was one of many distinguished honorees who received an award at the World Leadership Awards ceremony held on the 6th in Atlanta. The annual event was established by RnB superstar Usher, who started it in 1999 as a way to recognize others who share the ideals behind his New Look Foundation. New Look helps to encourage young adults in the fields of leadership, business, and education.

Iconic Designer Andre Kim Passes Away


The iconic and often eccentric S. Korean fashion designer, Andre Kim (앙드레김), has passed away at the age of 75 (Korean age). Having had surgery in the past for colorectal/colon cancer, he was hospitalized last month for a bout of pneumonia. Despite all best efforts, Kim's health deteriorated and he died while receiving treatment in Seoul National University Hospital.

Korea and Japan Team Up for "Ghost" Remake


One of Hollywood's iconic films, Ghost, has received the Asian treatment. Paramount Japan helms the project with Japanese leading actress, Nanako Matsushima, and one of Japan's favorite Hallyu stars, Song Seung Heon, in the starring roles.
